Okay, okay … I loved her flowers.
How do I really put into words how much I loved photographing this wedding? I really can’t. From the beginning, I was not just a photographer for this couple. I became a friend. I have said this time and time again, but that is really what this “job” is all about – building relationships and friendships with the people that walk in front of my lens (sometimes they dance, skip, run, or hop … but I think you get what I mean).
Having gotten to know Juliana more throughout the year, one thing that stuck out to me most was how much respect and love that she had for Preston whenever speaking of him. There is no doubt that this couple just adores each other. I mean, come on, did you not see their first look? 🙂
I walk away from all my weddings with a heart full of joy that really cannot be explained unless you experienced documenting the day yourself. I mean, think about it, you watch two people make a commitment and share once in a life time moments together. Although your love for one another lasts forever, that day can only be documented once. As I reflect back on the day while making this post,I think about the way people treated me and how welcoming and kind their words were. I think back as I heard my best friend give her first matron of honor speech and how I was there to see it. Lastly, I think about the joy that radiated in the room when Preston and Juliana became one. Became a team.
Juliana and Preston, thank you for opening your hearts to me and being such a joy to photograph. Wishing you many blessings and a lifetime of happiness 🙂
