Adam + Kate | Married

Alright, I feel the need to add that Kate’s makeup was done by a woman who worked on the Oprah show! She told me my eyes were pretty …:)

Let’s get to that reception!

Gahhh … weddings are so fun you guys!:)Although wedding schedules become repetitive, I love that every single wedding I photograph is so different from one another! Kate and Adam had a beautiful wedding day in Chicago! I loved the elegance of the day and the idea of photographing inside a stunning hotel. You know what is awesome about choosing an incredible venue for a wedding day? No matter if it rains, you can still take awesome photos:)Which is actually what happened! However, we got the best of both worlds and had a chance to take photos outside after the ceremony in some incredible evening light! There is nothing quite as beautiful as the light that shines after a rain!

I seriously just adore this couple. Even just working on these images for this post, I just kept smiling and smiling because I feel so lucky to have gotten to know them. Talk about two of the kindest people who were just made for each other! Adam looks at Kate in a way that just makes your heart smile. You know what I also noticed throughout my experience of working with these two? The incredible respect they share for one another. Adam and Kate, you guys really have a special gift, and I know you will never take that for granted. Thank you for not only allowing me the chance to photograph your day but for making me feel a part of it as well:)

Awesome. Lots of terrific reception shots (off camera lights or just the DJs??) and so cool that you have a shot with the couple! Very personal.

  • That spiral staircase shot took my breath away!
