Goodness, I do not even know where to begin! Carly and Greg are two people that you just love to be around. They have the biggest hearts, and that is impossible to miss when you interact with them. I had the pleasure of photographing a day filled with high energy, excitement, and unconditional love between these two and their families. So yes, I walked away on cloud nine
This wedding was at the most gorgeous venue in Rockford, Orchard Ridge Farms. I would only be so lucky to photograph there again some day! The entire property created a breathtaking backdrop for this Fall wedding, and by the time of the ceremony, the sunset was absolutely flawless.
Carly and Greg have such a unique story, something I truly enjoyed learning when I took their engagement photos, and when I heard wedding toasts. There is no doubt that God brought these two together, and every single witness that day would 100% agree, too. This Sunday wedding was not exactly close to where their friends and family lived, many even traveling in, but it was the largest crowd I have ever worked amongst. Such a huge testimony to how much love and support this couple has as they begin marriage together.
So much creativity and beauty this day had! With Carly’s artistic talent, I was never bored with details and subtle personalized touches. Greg and Carly had the wedding day of their dreams, and I am so happy to have witnessed and photographed such a memorable day in their history! Enjoy highlights!

I love Lake Geneva, so when Erin and Taylor told me that their wedding was out at Geneva National Golf Club, I was so excited!
This couple attended a wedding I photographed a few years back, so it was awesome to see so many familiar faces on their big day! Taylor has such a big heart, and it was so touching to see that side of him, especially during their first look and ceremony. Then there is Erin, whose energy lights up any room she enters. Combining these two is a match made in Heaven It’s hard to call what I do “work” when I am spending the day with such incredibly fun people. Goodness, I feel so spoiled sometimes
One of the wonderful parts of this day, was that I had a photo booth set up for the first time! After that experience, I most certainly will be offering that now! Their guests really made the day so special as well, so invested in loving this couple and being a blast to celebrate with.
Enjoy highlights from this wonderful day!

This is a belated blog post, and by belated, I mean well over a year since I took these photos. Hello archives folder, sorry I neglected you for so long …
If you follow me on Instagram, you know I photograph a lot of the food that I eat. It’s funny, I never really cook, but I very much enjoy eating what is prepared for meWho doesn’t though, right? We live in a world where food is not just a way to survive, it has become a form of art, a passion for many. I mean, we have an entire television network devoted to cooking! My passion for photographing food and the natural environments it is prepared in, definitely encourages me to want to develop better cooking skills!
A while back, I had the pleasure of sitting down to enjoy a late afternoon lunch at my brother’s home. A gorgeous apartment, with incredible light, even when the sun is almost down. I never get how the light wraps around that apartment so perfectly, but hey, not complaining My brother kindly invited me along for a project him and wife (fiance at the time) were working on together, and I did not want to miss an opportunity to enjoy their cooking. That’s something I really treasure about spending time with Drew and Jill, I seem to always experience new food combinations I have never had before. Not just that, the company is always the best part
I look back now, and I am especially grateful to have these images, considering I just saw Ben Rector perform a killer show at The House of Blues, and then he had an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel a few months ago! Way to go, Ben!

I am so excited to share my brand makeover! Part of running a business, is developing and learning your own style, and over the past few years, I have discovered that I really love a touch of romance and simplicity. I find that I photograph that way as well, so it was time to adjust my branding to match that!
I am sure you have all heard of Rifle Paper, right? When searching for what to communicate to my designer, I walked into a boutique that was was selling this floral wrapping paper (image below) by Rifle. Being a sucker for floral patterns, I immediately fell in love with the soft colors and whimsical style. I knew I wanted to keep my previous logo similar, but was wanting something with a little bit more softness, and a hand painted look. I also have been really drawn to calligraphic style fonts and the elegant, romantic feel to them, which is how we landed on the font choice. After a few proofing rounds, this is the final product
I am so pleased to see so much of myself, style, and the way I photograph in my brand!
Be sure to stick around and explore the new look!

The biggest smiles, that’s what I remember most about these twoTenleigh and Adam have such a unique story to the beginning of their relationship, and that is something I really love about this job, hearing how love stories begin between two people. Tenleigh’s family has a running joke of calling Adam the “craigslist guy” because Tenleigh bought Bears tickets from Adam on Craigslist. Just goes to show, you never know when love will enter into your life, and you obviously know now how it all turned out
Giggles, happy tears, and beautiful smiles — that’s what this day certainly was not lacking! I absolutely loved that their reception was at my favorite venue, Morton Arboretum. The details of the reception were so beautiful, and the location provided endless photo locations that overwhelmed me with excitement!
I just adored the families members involved in this wedding day, too! Adam and Tenleigh have a bright future ahead of them, and I am thrilled to have captured day one of their new adventure together!
